Out of hours illnesses and injuries

Our 24-hour emergency service is provided for registered clients of Ledbury Park Veterinary Centre, and visitors to the area.

Clients already registered with a local veterinary practice should contact them to be directed to their out of hours provider.

At Ledbury Park Veterinary Centre, we provide our own emergency service from our own practice in Ledbury, staffed by our own vets and nurses. You will not usually be asked to travel to another practice to see a vet out of hours.

We prefer not to make home visits out of hours, because it limits our availability to other patients and all of our diagnostic and emergency equipment is at the surgery. However, we can make exceptions in certain circumstances.

If you need to speak to us out of hours, just use the normal number 01531 633141. All out of hours calls are forwarded to a dedicated veterinary answering service, so that even if we are busy looking after a patient, there is always someone available to answer your call. The answering service will contact the duty vet.

We hope you appreciate that this is a valuable 24-hour service and understand that it is a costly service to provide. We do therefore have to charge an additional fee to see your pet out of hours, and this can be discussed with the vet over the telephone.
